Obituary of David Philip Kraft

 

November 24, 1943 - Scott, Saskatchewan

June 30, 2022 - Calgary, Alberta

 

David “Dave” Kraft beloved husband of Rita Kraft (nee Dombowsky) of Calgary, AB, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at the age of 78 years.

 

Dave was born in Scott, Saskatchewan on November 24, 1943, and grew up in Wilkie, Saskatchewan with his six brothers and sisters.  Dave moved to Calgary, AB, in the early 60’s to attend SAIT to further his knowledge in drafting and home building.  Dave worked for many home builders before his career at CMHC where he met many lifelong friends and gained many memories,

 

It was in Calgary that he met Rita and the two were married September 1972.

 

Besides his loving wife Rita, Dave will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Andrea O’Donnell (Patrick) and Nicole Kraft, and his grandchildren, Lucy, and Elliott O’Donnell.  David is also survived by his brother and best friend Jack Kraft (Muriel) of Unity, Saskatchewan; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

 

Dave loved being outside, golfing, gardening, and spending time with his grandkids. They were the light of his life. He loved to travel and had the opportunity to visit many beautiful places including Hawaii, Cuba, China, and South Korea.  Dave enjoyed movies, playing poker, and having lunches with his friends, some of whom were from his high school days.
