It is with great sadness that we just learned of Erna's passing. Chuck, your mother was a great friend to our family and was always very kind and generous to us all. We will always remember how wonderful your mother was and will think of her often. Our sincere condolences to you and your family.

Chuck, you must know that your mom was a fine woman. We felt lucky to live next door to her for so many years; we loved her, and will think of her in years to come. Our deepest condolences.

Our families grew up together, and now it is time to say goodbye to my second mom. Thank you for always making me feel welcome and at home when I visited. A trip to Chuck's house was always like a trip to Disneyland for me, an endless supply of ice cream sandwiches, soft drinks and fun thanks to the atmosphere you created. Some of my fondest memories are of the laughs and heartfelt talks we had when you invited me camping with you and Chuck those summers in Kelowna. Thanks for showing your amusement and support, and hiding your exasperation at the various ill-advised activities that we may allegedly have initiated during those trips. Some of my fondest memories will always be how you would make sure to fry up at least a pound of Schneider's high quality bacon for us every morning, accompanied by the best braided bread from the Pandosy bakery before we would head out to the beach. Whenever I go skiing to Lake Louise, I try to eat in the old portion of the lodge, and look over to the tables that I know you and my mom would be perched at during the day waiting for Chuck, Roy and I to come back - accosting unsuspecting strangers into whatever conversation you would be having that day. While you may be gone, you have left us with a lifetime of memories that will never leave us.

Chuck, By knowing you, as a friend,it is not doubt in my mind that you came from great parents. Your mother raised a great son and in return you were there all along for her. She rests in peace as you and your children continue with her legacy. God and Nature and with the wisdom of Time bring Peace and the return of Happiness to your life and the assurance of an future reunion with your mom and the ones that you love the most.

You will be greatly missed Tante Erna. I have fond memories of you taking me and Chuck to visit your relatives in Drumheller as a kid or just coming over for a visit. They were great times. Will miss you until we meet again in heaven.
