Erna passed away peacefully at Chinook Hospice, Calgary on June 8, 2014 at the age of 83 years.
Erna was a generous, compassionate person whose kindness touched many lives.
She is survived by her son Chuck (Maggie) and grandchildren Scott and Amy; nieces Trudy Brownlee (Rick), and Eleanor Machacek (Jerry) and their families.
Erna was predeceased by her sister Emma Laslop and brother-in-law Joe Laslop.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so during Visitation held at Calgary Crematorium, 3219 - 4th Street N.W., Calgary (located within Queens Park Cemetery) on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Interment will be at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens on Thursday, June 19 at 11:00 am, followed by a Funeral Service at Calgary Crematorium at 1:30 pm.
