Obituary of Loretta Joanne Peterson

 

June 6, 1939 - Regina, Saskatchewan

May 25, 2023 - Cochrane, Alberta

 

 

It is with great sadness that we share with you the sudden but peaceful passing of Loretta Peterson nee Boris, born in Regina in 1939.

 

Loving wife of sixty-two years to Wayne Peterson, most amazing Mom, and best friend to Susan Eyre (Alan) and Val Stackhouse (Paul).

 

World’s greatest Gramma to Daniel, Jeffrey, Haley, and Sydney and Great Gramma to Kellan and Garrett. Big sister to Leonard (Betty), Brian (Betty), and Gary. Mom also leaves behind her constant companion Allie Cat, the love they shared is beyond words.

 

Mom has been described by everyone she met, as the kindest most gentle soul, with never an unkind word spoken. A lover of animals, wildlife, and all creatures great and small, never judging anyone for the decisions they made, but supporting us with love and kindness. 

 

Being outside in the garden, a walk in the woods, working on puzzles, and spending time with her family were the things that brought Mom the greatest joy.  We will miss her every day but the kindness and the love she provided us will live in all our hearts forever.

 

A gathering of family and friends to remember Loretta will be held on Monday, June 5, 2023 from 1:30 to 3:30 pm at the Cochrane RanchHouse, 101 Ranchehouse Road, Cochrane, AB T4C 2K3.
