Obituary of Ronald Evert Seamans

Ronald Evert Seamans, 91, passed away after a brief period of infirmity at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary, Alberta on June 22nd, 2023.

 

Ron was born in the small town of Castor, Alberta to Alonzo Seamans and Bertha Gabert on January 12th, 1932. He left Castor in his teens to pursue a new beginning in Calgary. Though he would spend most of his life living in the city, Ron was forever drawn to the prairie and was a country boy at heart. His entrepreneurial spirit and penchant for hard work resulted in the purchase and operation of a successful business called Rogers Rent-All that remains in the family today. Ron enjoyed music (especially the blues, later in life), dancing, driving, golf, and travel.

 

Ron is survived by his companion Vivian Brennen, his sons David and Brad, Brad's wife Patricia, his grandchildren and their spouses Leanna and Michael, Devan and Amanda, Christopher, and Mason, and his great-grandchildren Finley, Evangeline, and Cohen. He is preceded in death by his siblings Alice, Howard, Douglas, and his twin brother Donald.
