Obituary of Jacob Christopher Carberry

Jacob was born in Calgary, Alberta on January 1st, 2007.

 

Jacob attended William Aberhart High School and just completed grade 10. He was very much loved by his peers and teachers!

 

Jacob’s first passion was for his family; Jacob’s love was readily noticeable. He always had a smile, gave hugs freely, made us laugh, signed “I Love You” all day/every day and was always giving a thumbs up!! We will miss his laugh and the “light” in his eyes! 

 

Jacob’s second passion was anything relating to Marvel with a little bit of DC thrown in. He’s seen every movie (multiple  times, lol), owns just about every book, a gallery of t-shirts, action figures galore, a poster collection and a beautiful picture of the Hulk personally illustrated by his big brother Matthew. Jacob’s absolute favourite character was the Hulk! We know that by the sheer number of Hulk’s in his room!!

 

Jacob had his favourite spot on the couch, feet reclined, eating his absolute favourite-cheese( with pizza being a close second!) He would be watching something on his iPad, with his special blanket around his neck and his two stuffy friends Lamby and Lemur sitting next to him! Jacob loved his music! He was always dancing to-The Weeknd, Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift! 

 

Jacob’s most memorable vacation was when the five of us travelled to Maui. He loved playing in the sand and water, went zip lining and was in awe of being on a volcano. His most favourite was swimming in the pool and hot tub every night with his big brother Andrew!

 

His younger brother Gary was Jacob’s biggest helper in our family. These two had a special bond! Gary was Jacob’s voice, letting us know what he needed day and night. Jacob loved all of the kiddos in our home that we fostered. He was a big brother to Kashis, Lucas, Nevaeh and Precious.

 

Jacob is survived by his mom, Juanita and his three brothers and sister-in-law; Matthew and Charlene, Andrew and Gary, all residing in Calgary, AB. Jacob is also survived by his uncle Fabian of Calgary, AB ; uncle Darrin and aunt Cori of St Albert, AB, aunt Noella of Calgary, AB as well as numerous great-aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. 

 

Jacob was predeceased by Grandma and Poppy. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed here. I ask that you hug your children often and tightly!
