Obituary of Nancy Lynn Ross
August 15, 1947 – Winnipeg, Manitoba
August 23, 2023 - Calgary, Alberta
On Wednesday, August 23, 2023, Nancy Lynn Ross, aged 76 years, passed away at Extendicare Hillcrest, after a long battle with cancer.
She was predeceased by her parents Stephen and Betty Ross (Camlachie, ON) and leaves behind to cherish her memory, her sisters Ruth Ross (Calgary), Patricia Ross (Maple Ridge, BC), Karen Pyne (Calgary), and Connie Harrison (Australia). She also leaves to mourn several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, friends, and extended family.
Born in Winnipeg, MB, she moved to Sarnia ON with her parents shortly after. She attended St. Patrick’s High School and relocated to Winnipeg after graduation for ten years and then to Calgary, AB. Nancy spent her professional years as an administrative assistant with a variety of firms, the last one being Sandwell Inc.
Nancy was a happy soul, calm and quiet, warm and loving, thoughtful and generous, with a wonderful sense of humour. She was devoted to all her family and loyal to her friends. She enjoyed many years of laughter, love, and activities such as travelling, cooking, reading, and having fun at the casino.
Nancy persevered throughout her illness and continued to inspire and impress everyone she met. She is now resting in peace, knowing that people on Earth feel blessed to have been part of her life. Nancy truly was an amazing angel.
