Obituary of Sushma Ramakant Kalgutkar

August 15, 1939- Belgaum, Goa India

September 18, 2023 - Calgary, Alberta

 

After a short battle with cancer, Sushma Kalgutkar passed away peacefully on Monday, September 18, 2023 at the age of 84 in Calgary, Alberta.  Up until the end, Sushma had the love of her family, appreciated her many friends, offered her kindness and compassion for others, and especially her satisfaction of a life that was long, full of love with many wonderful adventures.

Sushma is survived by her son, Sanjiv (Patricia) Kalgutkar; granddaughter Renee Kalgutkar; grandson Jeremie Kalgutkar; and brothers, Anil (Savita) and Uday (Lata) Kakodkar. Sushma was preceded in death by her beloved husband Ramakant; her parents, Sadanand and Indirabai Kakodkar; and her brothers, Madhusudan and Ashok Kakodkar.

Sushma will be dearly missed by all her family and friends. She loved her family very much, especially Renee and Jeremie, whom she cherished dearly. As per her request, a short and private Funeral Service was held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM, 3219 - 4 Street N.W., (within the valley of Queen's Park Cemetery) on September 22, 2023.  Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed with Sushma’s family here.

Sushma’s family also want to thank all her friends and neighbours who looked after her after the passing of her husband, Ramakant in 2013.
