Donna and I went to school together and we had the good fortune to reconnect through Facebook. Her kind, loving spirit shone at school, on Facebook and in person... as it shines here through all of the beautiful words I see written for her. I'm so sorry for your loss..

I count it a privledge to know Donna. We met in Jr High and remained friends through High School. We have been in contact - daily - through facebook and in the last 5 years we have been meeting for dinners out. I will miss her encouragement, and humour, her kindness and compassion. She was so proud of all her family and was always quick to tell me the latest great things you were up to. I am so much richer for knowing Donna!

Donna was my best friend at Red Deer College and my bridesmaid, and although the years have passed and we did not have much contact, I loved her dearly. Her smile put the sun to shame and the kindness in her heart could only be admired. I shall always treasure her friendship and hold dear the sound of her laughter, and we shared many laughs and jokes. My deepest sympathy to Mr. & Mrs. McLaren, Cheryl and Family, Dennis, Steve and Mark. My heart is so sad for the loss of such a beautiful person.

I met Donna threw our support group Sarcoidosis and became fast friends with her. She was and will always be one of the happiest people I ever met, her huge smile would light a room and just cause you to smile with her. She was a true angle here on earth and forever more will be an angle in heaven. A friend she will always be and her warmth and happiness is what I will carry with me forever.

While we didn't see much of each other during the past few years, we became Friends on Facebook. Her comments were always so thoughtful, full of kindness and so caring. I am truly saddened to hear of Donna's passing. It has been a very long time since I saw Donna. We were on the same softball team at Triwood for a few memorable years way back in Junior High at Senator Patrick Burns. She was always smiling and I truly admired her athletic abilities. May she rest in peace.

Dear Steve & Mark, Mr. & Mrs. McLaren, Cheryl & Mike, Scott & Leah, and Dennis, Donna was one of the first people I met when I moved to Calgary (Triwood) in 1968. In addition to being one of the better athletes in the neighbourhood, Donna was welcoming and friendly, trusting, and fun to be with - attributes she managed to maintain despite the assortment of challenges she faced. May your memories of her always be positive. It is my hope she is finally at peace. "Rest well my friend." Jude
