Dear Alexandra, Witold & Tory, I am sorry to hear of your Mother's passing, she was a wonderful, gracious, creative and kind woman! I so enjoyed getting to know both of your folks, 1st at Divino, when they would come in almost every Saturday to share a 'treat'! (nanimo bar) and then at Heartland (where we had lots of plants & flowers that needed your Father's special touch) They were both 'salt of the earth kind of people' I will treasure my memories of them always, I have no problem picturing their beautiful smiles, They both had such a way of making people feel special. May you feel God's comfort now and always. Thinking of you & praying for you.

I remember Astrid with great affection. She recruited my friend Renee and I to work on her play performed in the Canmore Opera House in Heritage Park. She was an original. It occurs to me that she actually listened to us, two teenagers. She treated us like the rest of the adults in the play. She was enchanting, cultured and fully engaged in life. I'm sorry to hear of her passing. Wishing the family the balm of peace in their memories of her.

Astrid will certainly be missed as a neighbour and friend. She always had an interesting story to tell and we will miss seeing her on her walks, which showed great courage the last year or so. Our condolences. Barbara and Doug Baldwin.

Witold and family. I was so sorry to see Astrid has passed on. I met her several times and like many before me, came under her spell. I know you and she were close, Witold, and regardless of her age it was too soon. Sincerely, Blane, Isobel and Weldon.

I am saddened to read of Mrs. Twardowski's passing. I remember fondly her appearance as the folksinger in The Jules Feiffer Revue, in 1964 or so. She seemed so right for the role! In 1969 she and her husband hosted my parents and me in our first visit to Poland, of which I retain the happiest memories. My thoughts are with Witold and Alexandra.
