Barry, Mary & Charlie. I will miss Jennifer so much. She was so much fun to work with at Traditional Pastimes and Quilt Canada. I used to look forward to going to work just because jennifer would be there. We laughed so much. I learned a lot from her. We loved to try new things and do some art quilts together, even tough she did all her quilting on those old treadles. Wow, she could do amazing things! I guess it was the engineer in her.

I will miss Jen's presence in the neighbourhood very much- just knowing she was around the corner felt good. My condolences to Barry, Charlie and Mary and the rest of the family. I fondly remember visits involving tea and toys (with Immy and Mary) and also some really fun Christmas parties at Jen and Barrys'. I know that her family will be blessed with many beautiful memories of her- she knew how to celebrate the seasons!

Barry, Charlie and Mary, I was so saddened to read of Jennifer's passing. I have very fond memories of Jennifer firstly as a mentor when I was first starting my engineering career at D&S and then later as I took up the hobby of quilting. Jennifer was always a wealth of knowledge and a great friend to consult and confide in. I only regret that we had lost touch in the past years. My thoughts are with you all through this most difficult time.

I had the pleasure of meeting Jennifer at my first TOGA in Seattle in 2008. She charmed us all with her with her wit and free-motion quilting skills. We are so enriched by all she shared in the quilting and vintage sewing machine communities online. The appliqued blocks she made for the 2010 Winter Olympics will be treasured by all who participated in that TO exchange. As hostess, I feel so blessed to have one. Much love and sympathy to her dear family members!

She was a Charter Member of our internet community way back in 1998. I had the pleasure of meeting her in person once or twice in Seattle and she attended our gathering here in Lake City, MN two years ago. Such a sweet & talented lady who will be sadly missed. Jennifer was a life long friend. We met in Grade 6 when we attend St. Martins Elementary School. Jennifer lived in Lansdowne in Edmonton, Alberta at that time. She then attended Cartier McGee Junior High. She moved to Calgary in high school but we always stayed in touch. All of her school friends from Edmonton were blessed to see her in August, 2012 when we did our first reunion. She and Mary came to Edmonton and we were all so lucky to be able to catch up. We will all miss her smiling face, her intelligent mind, her dry wit and her love of all things sewing. When we started home economics in junior high Jennifer and my Mom, Theresa Brosseau, would often talk about sewing and how to do different projects. When my Aunt Dolly Elniski passed away in 2012 Jennifer came and got her Bernina sewing machine. She had always wanted one. And she knew how to operate it. One of her last projects was a dress for Mary. I cannot believe that you are gone dear friend. We send our love and sympathy to Barry, Mary and Charlie. Also to her brothers and sister in laws. This has been a long and hard journey for all of you. Everyone who ever knew Jennifer will miss her. Deborah Brosseau/McGinley and family

I knew Jennifer through both Treadle-on and Vintage Singers. She had such tremendous knowledge, and she was full of encouragement for me when I was attempting restoration and use of my singer 27 last year. I always looked forward to her posts, and insight. She will be missed by those who knew her in the quilting and sewing machine community on the internet. I hope her family will take some partial comfort in this huge loss by seeing how many lives their wife and mother have touched. Sending my sympathy to her family.
